Dear Students,
Spring Break is quickly nearing, and most students will have their minds wrapped around the idea of beaches, bathing suits and sunny weather. However, what they should be daydreaming about is being in charge of hundreds of thousands of dollars, meetings with the most powerful administrators at Ithaca College and being a part of the most influential voice on Campus. That’s right, Student Government elections are right around the corner!
By picking up an elections packet, available at the Student Activity Center and SGA's website (www.ithaca.edu/sga) and applying for the 2006-2007 E-Board, for a Senator position, or for an officer of your Class Council, you have the chance to control the direction of Ithaca College and your class next year. There is no better way to get involved at Ithaca College. By joining SGA, you become the liaison, and the voice for Ithaca’s student body. Whenever a pertinent topic or issue arises on this campus, YOU will be the first person that the school will look to for guidance and advice. If you have a vested interest in creating positive change at Ithaca College, there is no better platform to achieve this than SGA. Plus, there is no experience needed! If you have the burning desire to create change at Ithaca College, you are more than qualified!
Election Packets are due March 3rd. If anyone has any questions about responsibilities, eligibility requirements or anything else SGA related, please feel free to stop by the SGA E-Board office in the SAC, or e-mail our Elections Committee Chair, Ivan Topalov, at itopalo1@ithaca.edu.
Thank You and Good Luck!
