Violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg--called by one critic "a master musician at the height of her powers"--will play a program of Brahms sonatas with pianist Anne-Marie McDermott at Ithaca College on Thursday, March 2. The third and final offering in the yearlong Ithaca College Concerts season "Return Engagements," the performance will take place at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music.
The 2005-6 concert series features performers returning to the Ford Hall stage. Salerno-Sonnenberg last appeared at the College in 1997 as soloist with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Dennis Russell Davies. McDermott appeared last season, substituting for an ailing Leon Fleischer on a chamber music concert.
