Biblical Discussion Leads Spring Colloquia

On Thursday, March 23, from 12:10 to 1:00 p.m. in the Clark Lounge of the Campus Center, two faculty members will share their experiences using biblical principles in their own teaching. This Conversation with Colleagues features Joseph Cheng, business administration, and Jeff Ives, exercise and sport sciences.

"Making the Past: History, Historians, and Literature in England, 1485-1600," A Scholarly Colloquium

This presentation argues that the representations of historians in poetic texts contribute significantly to the conceptualization of the historian's social role in late medieval and early modern England.

"Learning Portfolios and Course Transformation," A Conversation with Colleagues
Michael Smith, history, and Stacia Zabusky, anthropology
Inspired by the 2005 Summer Institute and other sources, two faculty members introduced learning portfolios in fall 2005. This presentation includes their own experiences and those of their students.
