RecycleMania is a friendly competition among university recycling programs in the United States. Over a 10-week period, schools compete in different contests to see which institution can collect the largest amount of recyclables, the least amount of trash, and have the highest recycling rate. The university that recycles the most wins.
The main goal of this event is to increase awareness of campus recycling and waste minimization. Do your part to support the Ithaca College community by choosing to reduce, reuse and then recycle. Not sure what can be recycled? Go to the REMP web site, www.ithaca.edu/remp, and click on the recycling button for complete recycling guidelines.
Lest you think we can cruise to victory, we are behind Princeton, Harvard and Hamilton in the Per Capita Classic Competition. Details at the RecycleMania web site. In the end, this event shows that all participating universities have made achievements in recycling and waste reduction.
