40 Minutes of Blazing Fear consists of 18 plays from the Italian Futurist movement, written between 1915 and 1927.

The plays are as follows:

DETONATION, LIGHTS, THERE IS NO DOG, VOWEL REFRAINS, and THE LADY-KILLER AND THE FOUR SEASONS, by Francesco Cangiullo
THE BODY THAT ASCENDS, GENIUS AND CULTURE, and BACHELOR APARTMENT by Umberto Boccioni
FLIRT by Fani Ciotti
TO UNDERSTAND WEEPING by Giacomo Balla
EDUCATION by Angelo Rognoni
PARALLELEPIPED by Paolo Buzzi
I THINK IT WOULD BE CORRECT TO DO IT THIS WAY by Mario Dessy
ALTERNATION OF CHARACTER by Arnaldo Corradini and Bruno Corra
OLD AGE and NEGATIVE ACT by Bruno Corra and Emilio Settimelli
FEET by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti
NOCTURNAL by Balilla Pratella

All of these plays are very short--some last only one minute. Hence the title of the show: 40 Minutes of Blazing Fear: A Futurist Evening.
