Selections from the 25th annual Black Maria Film and Video Festival will be presented by festival director, John Columbus, on Monday, April 17, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Park Auditorium.
Black Maria, an international juried competition and touring that recognizes cutting-edge work in experimental, documentary, and animation film and video, has recently begun a special collaboration with the Robert Flaherty Film Seminar.
Included among this year's jury prizes is Ithaca College alumna Laura Kissel's CABIN FIELD, which was screened last week at FLEFF (Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival), where Kissel was a featured guest artist for the Women Direct 25th anniversary.
The event is free and open to the public. John Columbus will speak between film and video screenings. Please feel free to attend any part of the screening, which will run approximately two hours.
