The National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) will be offering a webcast entitled "Renewable Energy: Saving and Making Money for Your Institution" in Tuesday, April 25, 2006 from 1:30 to 3:10 p.m. (100 minutes). This webcast will be hosted in the Job Hall Board Room - all those interested are welcome to attend.

Renewable energy is hot! More than 200 colleges and universities are already purchasing electricity from renewable-energy sources or installing their own on-site renewable system that generates clean electricity. Find out how your institution can minimize costs, or even make money, with renewable energy from sources such as wind, solar, and biomass.

What You Will Learn:
• the choices and costs institutions face in purchasing renewable energy
• how to purchase renewable energy with an eye toward minimizing costs, maximizing returns, and reducing risks
• how to analyze whether your institution should build renewable power generation on campus or buy it “though the wires” from the electric utility

The Presenters:
• Andrea Putman is president of Green Innovations, a woman-owned small business that provides communications, marketing, and analysis for energy management and renewable energy initiatives. Ms. Putman is co-author of The Business Case for Renewable Energy: A Guide for Colleges and Universities.
