The NCAA Division III Baseball Committee has approved the host site for four sites of the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship, including the New York Regional which will be hosted by Ithaca College and held at Falcon Park in Auburn.

The New York Regional will be held Wednesday, May 17 to Sunday, May 21, with the winner earning a trip to the Division III World Series in Appleton, Wis. Ithaca College’s selection as host of the New York Regional will have no bearing on whether or not the baseball team is chosen for the NCAA playoffs. The Bombers have been the host institution for the New York Region playoffs seven previous times; the 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1995 events were held at Ithaca’s Freeman Field and the 2000, 2001 and 2005 regionals were also held at Falcon Park in Auburn.

Three other sites have been approved: Alvernia College and the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference will host the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Boyertown, Pa.; the Eastern College Athletic Conference will host the New England Regional in Harwich, Massachusetts, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology will host the Mideast Regional in Terre Haute, Indiana. Sites for the Central, Midwest, South and Midwest Regionals will be announced when the teams and pairings are announced (Sunday, May 14).
