The search committee for the Associate Vice President for Human Resources has diligently reviewed the credentials of over 80 applicants for this position during the spring semester and narrowed the field to three individuals, two of whom have visited the campus.
Unfortunately two of the three candidates have now withdrawn from the search. Therefore, given the time of year and our desire to offer the campus community a choice of well qualified candidates for this important position, the search process will be closed for the summer and reopened and readvertised in the fall. Individuals who were reviewed as part of the initial search will be provided with the opportunity to keep their candidacies active when the search is reopened.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the members of the search committee for all of their hard work and to assure the campus community that we will be successful, even if it takes more time, in identifying appropriate leadership for our Human Resources function.
