The Office of International Programs (OIP) would like to invite faculty and staff members to submit proposals for new short-term study abroad programs for the winter, spring break, or summer 2007.
Short-term study abroad programs are an important component of the various overseas study options available to Ithaca College students. College faculty and staff members have successfully lead programs over the past few years in a number of different locations, including Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, England, Ghana, Italy, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Scotland, and Turkey.
If you are a faculty or staff member interested in developing a new short-term study abroad program, there are resources available on the website of the OIP to help you with the process, from the initial proposal through to the return home from abroad. The study abroad program development handbook contains information on each step of the process, and focuses on program planning and administration. The proposal form for new study abroad programs will guide you through the proposal process.
Proposals should be submitted, along with a detailed budget breakdown (spreadsheet for calculating budget is available at https://www.ithaca.edu/oip/STSA_budget.xls) to the OIP by the following deadlines:
Please contact Rachel Cullenen in the Office of International Programs should you need further information, have questions, or wish to discuss a potential new program. We look forward to receiving your proposal!
