The Dominican Republic Education and Outreach Group, a newly formed organization, is having an informational meeting.
The Dominican Republic Education and Outreach Group is having an informational meeting on Thursday September 28th at 6:30pm in Textor 101. The purpose of this organization is to provide learning opportunities for current IC students about the Dominican Republic, DR culture, and daily life issues that DR Citizens face. Additionally, we strive to set up service opportunities for IC students who want to help raise money, collect school and medical supplies, find sources to donate computers to Dominican schools, and purchase materials to build a playground for Dominican children. The group will also be trying to connect with other on-campus organizations that are interested in learning about and doing service in the DR. We wish to establish a relationship with various organizations in the Dominican Republic so that Ithaca College students can continue to learn and work in this international setting.
