Science and Enduring Mystery Conference

10/10/06

Contributed by Lee Bailey

An interdisciplinary symposium on "Science and Enduring Mystery" will convene at Binghamton University this weekend, October 13-14. Lee Bailey (recently retired from IC's Department of Philosophy and Religion) will be an invited speaker at the event, exploring topics from his recent book "The Enchantments of Technology."

The conference will explore the possibility that the universe may be more strange than we can rationally understand. The meeting will be sponsored by Binghamton's unique graduate Department of Philosophy, Interpretation, and Culture, and will bring together philosophers, scientists, artists, and world religion scholars. It will be held at the University's Public Service Program Center Friday at 9am until Saturday at 5pm. The conference is free and open to the public. More information at pic@binghamton.edu.
