Come laugh and learn with Toastmasters this Saturday, October 21!
The Ithaca College Toastmasters will host the Area 10 Toastmasters Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest on Saturday, October 21 at 10:00 am in the Campus Center's Clark Lounge. Representatives from the six Toastmasters clubs in the Ithaca area will compete in either of two separate events, the Humorous Speech competition and the Evaluation competition. Humorous speeches will consist of original material and must be between five and seven minutes long. Contestants in the evaluation competition will observe a five- to seven- minute speech, briefly prepare notes, and present an evaluation of the speech.
This is Ithaca College's first time hosting a Toastmasters contest. The Ithaca College Toastmasters Club is part of Toastmasters International, and was chartered October 2, 2002. We welcome all members of the Ithaca College community, including students, staff, faculty, and Longview residents, to attend our meetings, which occur every other Tuesday at 9:00 am in the Clark Lounge.
