Three faculty members in the Department of Art History have presented papers in the last month.
Stephen Clancy participated in the 33rd Annual Saint Louis Conference on Manuscript Studies in mid-October. His paper, "Between 'France' and 'Flanders': The Challenge Presented by Simon Marmion," was part of the session "Creating 'Flanders': The Problem of Historiography and Low Countries Manuscript Studies."
Jennifer Jolly gave an invited lecture in October at Skidmore College entitled "Integrating Region and Nation: the Dissemination of Mexican Muralism in Patzcuaro, Michoacan." Her talk was co-sponsored by the Latin American Studies Program and the Department of Art History.
Lauren O'Connell presented a paper this month entitled "Buildings, Landscapes and the Cross-Cultural Text: Demidov's Travels to the 'New Russia' for VizCult: The Harpur College Dean's Workshop in Visual Culture at Binghamton University.
