Venezuelan film director Freddy Siso will give two talks on Thursday, November 9. Both events are free and open to the public.

Venezuelan Cinema”
(A documentary presentation & lecture)

"The Desire to Create: The Making of 'Diles que no me maten'
(Tell Them Not to Kill Me)"
(An introduction of the film, based on a Juan Rulfo short story, followed by a film screening)

Born in Caracas and having spent more years in Mérida than anywhere else, Freddy Siso became a filmmaker at la Universidad de los Andes, where he received his degree as a historian. Among his most notable films are: Los Nevados, Diles que no me maten, Maurice Hasson, El regalo, and Ahora que miras con tus ojos
