7pm "Black Indians: An American Story". Textor 102. This groundbreaking film presents the rarely told story of the racial fusion of Native and African Americans, exploring their shared past and how their legacy has been ignored and rendered invisible in American history.
Nov. 15
7pm "Homeland: Four Portraits of Native Action". Textor 102. This film profiles the against-all-odds struggles of Native American leaders who are taking on powerful energy companies and government agencies to protect the environment for all Americans. Homeland is also a call-to-action against the current dismantling of thirty years of environmental laws.
