According to the U.S. government, domestic violence is the most frequent cause of serious injury to women, more than car accidents, muggings, and stranger rapes combined.
Survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse in our area have created t-shirts to tell their own personal stories using words and artwork. Once finished, the shirts are displayed on a clothesline, some of which will be shown Tuesday, November 28th and Wednesday, November 29 in the Campus Center North Foyer from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. This moving display helps to heal, raise awareness, and show survivors that they are not alone. Please stop by this event, view the shirts, and receive information about the Advocacy Center. Show your support for women and children in our community who are survivors, and help spread awareness to help stop the abuse from happening.
