For the first time Longview, the retirement community that has a long-standing partnership with Ithaca College, will be participating in the Ithaca Chili Cook-Off.
The Chili Cook-Off will take place on Saturday, February 17, on the Commons. Longview chefs Kevin, Dave, and Kevin have been busy chopping, mixing, and simmering batches of chili. They've come up with the BEST vegetarian and meat chilis you've ever tasted.
There'll be a number of awards given out. The chefs will help Longview win a "Best Chili" award, and with your help, Longview is aiming to win the award for "The Most People Tasting a Chili."
On the day of the event tickets will be on sale at the entrance to the Commons: $1.25 for one ticket, $5.00 for five, and $10.00 for ten. Hours will be from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
