It's starting to get a bit crowded in the Bursar's Office as celebrities start lining up for the annual Benefit Auction. Trying not to be too obvious, we listened in on a rather lively conversation concerning their dreams for the auction...
"Personally, I think the hottest item in the auction will be my signed photo!" said Jaimie Pressley, louding snapping her gum. "I promised Earl that he could cross 5 items off his list if my donation is the biggest draw!" "Don't count on it!" chuckled the cast from Men in Trees. "OUR donation can top yours as we have donated 6 gorgeous individual signed photos as well as a full cast photo!" Abby from NCIS twirled her pigtail as she sniffed and shot back, "Well, maybe you have signed photos, but WE have donated a full script signed by our producer, Donald Bellisario, as well as signed photos and cast photos!" "Forget about producers...OUR script is signed by all of us and we sent along a nice cast photo to boot!" said the cast of Criminal Minds, quickly analyzing the situation. Bree and her cohorts from Desperate Housewives idly polished their nails as they said demurely, "We're not saying what constitutes a valid donation or not, but suffice it to say that we have sent enough loot to be considered a package! T-shirt, signed photos, scripts..we have it all! Oh, and not that we're keeping track, but OUR script is from our pilot show!"
Award winning author John D. Kemp was mildly amused by all the squabbling of the TV stars. "My donation is an autographed copy of my best selling book, 'Reflections from a Different Journey'...I am appealing to those with a quest for knowledge!"
As we drew a bit closer to hear the last of the conversation the voices became muffled and all we heard was "possible LPGA star" and "famous chef". Hmmmmm....guess we will have to stay tuned....
