The Office of Public Safety has received a complaint from a 7th floor resident of the West Tower that an unknown male entered her room while she was sleeping at about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25.

The resident reported that she was awakened by the movement of her mattress and observed the intruder standing over her bed. She reported that there was no physical contact or verbal communication by the subject, who left the room after being observed.

The subject is described as a white male about 6’ tall, with short, gelled, spiked blond hair. He was wearing a black or blue hoodie sweatshirt with “Ithaca” written in a white outline across the chest, baggy blue jeans, and white sneakers that were salt stained and scuffed.

Anyone who might have information about this incident is asked to contact the Office of Public Safety at 274-3333.

College community members are encouraged to report any suspicious persons or circumstances on campus to the Office of Public Safety as soon as possible at 274-3333, or 911 from any campus phone. Calling 911 from a cell phone will connect the caller to the Tompkins County 911 Center. Calls received by the 911 Center that pertain to the Ithaca College campus will be transferred to the Office of Public Safety.
