Marion Nestle, author of What to Eat and Food Politics and professor of nutrition at NYU, will be the Health Promotion Distinguished Scholar in Residence. She will give a public presentation at 7:00 p.m. on March 27 in Textor 102.
Professor Nestle's contributions to our nutrition IQ and her critique of the food industry have been widely hailed. She has been called an "indispensable guide: knowledgeable, eminately sane." Eric Schlosser, author of "Fast Food Nation" stated: "The industry wants you to believe there are no good foods or bad foods. Well, that's not true. And I can't think of anyone who knows the difference better than Marion Nestle."
Nestle, award winning author and regular radio commentator, is Paulette Goddard Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health at New York University. We are pleased and excited to announce that she is the Health Promotion Distinguished Scholar in Residence. During her visit at Ithaca College she will be giving a public presentation entitled "What to Eat: Personal Responsibility Versus Social Responsibility" on March 27 at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 102.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
