The musical of “The Count of Monte Cristo”, written by Ithaca College student Brett Boles ’07, is based on the Dumas novel of the same name and examines justice, revenge and redemption. Set in and around France and Italy during the historical events of 1815–1838, the story centers on young Edmond Dantès, who is left to languish in jail for seven years for a crime he didn’t commit.
