Postage rates are changing on Domestic and International Mail and the shape, size and dimensions will greatly impact the price for the mail piece.
Ithaca College Mail Services will hold a presentation on this topic on Wednesday May 2nd from 2PM until 3:30PM in Textor 101. Attendance will be HIGHLY beneficial for those responsible for designing or mailing articles in your department.
Gone will be the days when a 2 ounce letter was the same price as a 2 ounce flat or a 2 ounce package. “Shape Matters”!

The U.S.P.S. is not only realigning postage rates on Monday, May 14th but, also the way postage will be calculated. This change will affect everyone who deposits any size or type of mail into the U.S. Postal System. New pricing creates an adjustable rate system by giving mailers the opportunity to obtain lower rates by managing the shape of the piece.

We are creating templates to assist departments prepare their outgoing mail with as little impact as possible on the College postage budget.
Some changes:
A First class letter increases to .41 cents
