Brass Choir, Wind Ensemble, and Trombone Soloist in Concert Tuesday

A free joint concert given by the Ithaca College Brass Choir and Wind Ensemble will take place on Tuesday, May 1 at 8:15 pm in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. Keith Kaiser and Stephen Peterson will conduct.

The brass choir will offer music of Cheetham, Arnold, Holst, and Iveson, while the wind ensemble will present Frank Ticheli’s “Symphony No. 2” and Adam Gorb’s “Downtown Diversions.” Soloist on the Gorb will be Harold Reynolds, professor of trombone at the School of Music.

Reynolds has taught at Ithaca College for nineteen years. Before that he taught at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, University of Texas at San Antonio, and in the public schools of Texas and New York. Currently he is principal trombone of the Tri-Cities Opera Orchestra. He has been principal trombone of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.
