This is a reminder about the annual campus electrical shutdown on May 26 and August 5.
In order to perform required maintenance to the campus electrical system, it is necessary to expand the annual campus electrical shutdown to two separate dates. The two-day shutdown will become the standard for this annual event.
The shutdowns are scheduled for May 26 and August 5, 2007 from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is the advice of Information Technology Services that all computers and printers be unplugged before these interruptions. Please communicate this to the appropriate personnel within your department.
In preparation for the electrical shutdown on May 26, the computer system on campus will be going down on Friday, May 25 at 7:00 p.m. It is anticipated that all computer systems will be operational by 9:00 p.m. on May 26.
As always, staff from the Office of Facilities will be on duty during and after these interruptions to ensure all systems resume their normal functions. Please feel free to call 4-3225 if you have any questions or concerns.
