Site preparation for construction of the Gateway Building will begin the week after Commencement. This will require the closure of P Lot in front of Dillingham Center effective Monday, May 21 except for emergency and service access to Dillingham and Job Hall.
To accommodate convenient parking for prospective students and their parents, the remaining eleven spaces in E Lot in front of Muller Faculty Center will be designated for ten admission spaces and one additional handicap spot. E Lot will continue to have five “ten-minute”, four service, and one psychology lab spaces for short-term access to the Friends, Textor, Muller and Phillips Hall complex. We respectfully request that all other traffic avoid E Lot to minimize congestion in that area.
Construction of the new School of Business building is progressing nicely and the signature style of the facility is becoming more apparent every day. We anticipate occupying it in time for the spring 2008 semester. The Gateway project will be equally impressive and should be completed in the early fall of 2008 and will provide a very inviting and contemporary environment to welcome prospective students, parents and employees to the College as they explore opportunities here. It will also enable badly needed space relief for a number of campus departments.
