Spam Trap Has a New Look

Spam Trap, the College’s Web application for helping to control email spam, has a new look.

Spam Trap has essentially the same functionality, but the interface looks a little different and uses some new terminology. The updated Spam Trap guide can be found at https://www.ithaca.edu/computing/quick_guides/qg_spamtrap.pdf.

If you don’t currently use Spam Trap but get unwanted spam email messages, you will find it to be a useful tool for eliminating most spam messages. Spam Trap allows you to “tag” spam messages for easy review, or reject them completely so that they never appear in your Inbox. Spam Trap also has settings to make sure that you never (or always) receive email messages from certain senders or domains.

For the convenience of Webmail users, Spam Trap is accessible from within the Webmail interface (go to Options > Spam Trap). Spam Trap can also be accessed directly at http://spamtrap.ithaca.edu.
