After 32 years of dedicated service to Ithaca College and the Department of Physical Therapy, Ray Boone has retired from the Physical Therapy Department.
To celebrate all that he has done for the College, Department, and our PT students, a reception in his honor was held at Ithaca College's Rochester Center on June 3.
Ray has been the longest serving member of the PT faculty and came to Ithaca College's Bronx PT campus in 1975. In 1990-91 he played a vital role organizing the move from the Bronx component of the program to Rochester. He served as the first Director of the PT Department's Rochester campus.
In addition to several speakers who gave remarks at the reception, statements from a number of former colleagues and students were read recognizing Ray's many educational and professional contributions to over 2000 students. As tribute to his expertise at teaching Anatomy, colleagues from the IC Rochester Center also sang an original song to Ray titled " Dissection Man".
