There has been a very successful ongoing speaker series at Longview, a retirement community located across and up the road from campus, since the facility’s partnership with IC began in Spring 1999.
Currently there is a need for faculty and/or staff volunteers for these informal monthly talks. The topics can be academic in nature, related to areas of personal interest, hobbies, or travel experiences. Poetry readings, slide shows, films, and music, dance and dramatic performances are also welcome. An appreciative audience is guaranteed!
These talks are generally held on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Longview auditorium.
Speakers for September, October, November and December are needed at the present time.
