Learn to Row Clinic

The Ithaca College coaching staff will be offering a Learn to Row Clinic at the Haskill Davidson boathouse.

Date:
Faculty and Staff: Friday, September 7th, 2007 from 5-7PM

Students: Tuesday, September 4th , 2007 and Wednesday, September 5th from 4:30-6:30 PM

Location: Ithaca College Boathouse. Directions from Ithaca College: 96B downtown, pass the commons, turn left on 79 W (Seneca St), right on 13 N (Meadow St), left at 3rd street (Aldi’s on the corner), take an immediate left after crossing the RR track, go all the way to the end of the drive pass the Cornell BH.

Cost: Free

Format:
•Introduction, tour, safety discussion.
•Land instruction on the ergometer: basic rowing
stroke and coxswain commands.
•Launching the shells and dock instruction.
•Row for 30-45 minutes, participants will be
accompanied by members of the varsity
rowing team.
•Wrap-up

What to Bring: Workout clothes (tight fitting is best), sneakers and a water bottle.

Safety/Liability: We will follow USRowing safety guidelines and Ithaca Crew safety procedures. All participants will need to sign an Ithaca College waiver, and verify their ability to swim.
Please verify your ability to swim with a lifeguard and bring this portion with you to the clinic. The Ithaca College outdoor pool is open M-F from noon-7 PM, Sa from noon-6 Pm and Su 1-7 PM, through Labor Day.
