Do you want to leave your mark on Ithaca College? Now is your opportunity. Your photography and/or artwork could be selected for ongoing display in Campus Center meeting rooms.
Why not put your artistic skills where thousands of people will see your work as well as your name?
The Campus Center Advisory Committee is now accepting submissions of photography and artwork by students, faculty, and staff to be displayed in the five newly named Campus Center meeting rooms. The photography/artwork must highlight or reflect one of the five local natural attractions after which the rooms are named:
• Buttermilk Falls
• Taughannock Falls
• Ithaca Falls
• Six Mile Creek
• Cayuga Lake
All photograph submissions must be of high enough resolution to be enlarged to approximately 16 x 20 inches. If your photograph is selected, the Campus Center will pay for the enlargement and framing of your photograph, but the print or artwork will become the property of Ithaca College. Anyone wishing to submit artwork, such as drawings or paintings, may submit a digital photograph of the artwork for review, or a color sketch of the artwork to be created.
Please note that all photographs/artwork will become the property of Ithaca College, and will be framed and mounted in the meeting rooms with a plaque noting the artist's information.
Digital submissions may be e-mailed to sconrad@ithaca.edu. Four by six inches or other similarly sized hard-copy submissions may be dropped off at the Campus Center office in 319 Egbert Hall.
A review of submitted photographs/artwork will begin Monday, September 17, and continue until all artwork for the various Campus Center rooms has been identified. Please direct any questions to Sybil Conrad, assistant director of Campus Center, at 274-1172. Thank you.
