Study Abroad Scholarships from IIE

IIE, the Institute of International Education, sponsors a variety of scholarships for students planning a summer, semester or year abroad. Deadlines are rapidly approaching for the Spring 2008 and/or 2008/09 award cycle. These scholarships are awarded in increments up to $5,000 (and sometimes more) per semester.

BENJAMIN A. GILMAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Gilman Scholarship is open to US citizen, undergraduate students who wish to study abroad. Students may apply worldwide though preference will be given to applications outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. To be eligible you must be receiving a Federal Pell grant. FREEMAN-ASIA: AWARDS FOR STUDY IN ASIA
The Freeman-Asia program is open to undergraduate students who wish to study in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Laos, Macao, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam. NATIONAL SECURITY EDUCATION PROGRAM (NSEP)
David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarships Open to US-citizen undergraduates who wish to study outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Fall, Spring and Summer cycle. Summer cycle is open only to freshmen & sophomores or applied science & engineering majors. More information is available at http://www.iie.org/nsep.
