Sustainability Café: "Sustainability Solutions" at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 24

09/24/07

Contributed by Marian Brown

The second of our fall series of Sustainability Cafés will take place at 4:00 p.m. in Friends Hall room 201. Tina Nilsen-Hodges and Elan Shapiro, educators from EcoVillage at Ithaca, will consider the spectrum of sustainability solutions as a system of complementary strategies that we can engage with more consciously -- and sustainably -- rather than in a piecemeal or overwhelmed way.

Along with giving examples of how these links play out in different situations, Shapiro and Nilsen-Hodges will leave time for participants to apply the concepts to their own life situation.

"Teachable edibles" - seasonal, local and/or organic foods - are supported by Ithaca Dining Services. Please bring your reusable mug and fill up at the drinking fountain or supply your beverage of choice.

This Café is co-sponsored by the Partnership for Sustainability Education (the academic partnership between Ithaca College and EcoVillage at Ithaca) and the Environmental Seminar.

All Sustainable Cafés are free and open to the public.
