Monday, October 15, is the fifth annual observance of National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD). It is a day of hope for the future of a world without AIDS.

NLAAD is a day of awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDS in Latina/o communities, and a time to renew commitment to ending the spread of HIV and ensuring quality of life to those living with HIV. This year's theme is "Wake Up! Take Control! Take the HIV Test."

For resources and information, visit the National Latino AIDS Awareness Day website. For additional resources about HIV/AIDS, contact Action for AIDS, the group at IC responsible for undertaking the work of coordinating and developing educational programs and studying all AIDS-related issues on behalf of the campus community.
