The Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra begins a series of concerts on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. on October 14.

Jeffery Meyer will conduct the free concert, which will take place in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. This concert will feature the world premiere of "Processio" by School of Music faculty composer Sally Lamb.

Also on the program is Rimsky-Korsakov’s "Capriccio Espagnol" and Beethoven's sixth symphony.

"We hope that audience members who find an 8:15 p.m. concert difficult to attend will enjoy the opportunity to hear live orchestral music on a Sunday afternoon," said Meyer. "Besides reveling in the creativity of one of our own composers, we'll hear a Russian's vision of Spain, and Beethoven's sublime imagery of the natural world around him," he said.
