An essay authored by Matthew Fee, director of the Park Scholar Program and a lecturer in the Department of Cinema, Photography, and Media Arts, has been published in the Routledge anthology, Genre and Cinema: Ireland and Transnationalism.

Fee's essay, " 'Sometimes the Imagination is a Safer Place' -- Fantastic Spaces and The Fifth Province," explores how the genre of the fantastic has defined national identity in Irish cinema.

Fee was recently awarded his doctorate with distinction from the Department of Cinema Studies at New York University.
