The third panel in the series, "Experiential Learning -- It's Worth Talking About," will take place on Tuesday, October 23, from 12:10 to 1:00 p.m. in the Ithaca Falls Meeting Room.

Three faculty colleagues who have provided service learning courses at IC will talk about their experiences developing and teaching this type of course: assistant professor of history Michael Smith, associate professor of education Jeff Claus, and assistant professor of writing Pat Spencer. Light refreshments will be served.

The four-panel series is co-sponsored by the Experiential Learning Committee of the School of Humanities and Sciences and the Center for Faculty Excellence.

The fourth and final panel discussion of the series takes place on Tuesday, October 30, at 4:00 p.m. in the Six Mile Creek Meeting Room. The topic of the final panel focuses on research-based experiential learning courses. For more information, contact assistant dean [mailto:szabusky@ithaca.edu Stacia Zabusky].

A description of the service learning model for experiential learning courses in H&S can be found on the committee's website.
