Mara Alper's poetry video, To Erzulie, was selected to screen in the Sadho Poetry Film Fest in Delhi, India, in October. Alper, an associate professor in Department of Television-Radio, collaborated with three Ithaca College students, now graduates, on the piece.

The video features the poetry and performance by theatre major Lenelle Moise '02. Television-radio majors Rebecca Reagan '02 coproduced and handled camera work, while Donna Lovas '02 coproduced and assisted with lighting.

Cellist Hank Roberts provided music. Alper directed and edited the piece.

The faculty-student collaboration premiered in Berlin, Germany, in April 2002. Since then it has screened in New Zealand; Vancouver, British Columbia; the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis; and several national film festivals.

The Sadho Poetry FilmFest aims at taking great "poetry to people" from all walks of life. It is a movement for the promotion of classic poetry through the innovative use of arts, media, technology, and social action. Alper was invited to submit work, which was then selected from among international film and video artists.
