On Monday, November 12, at 4:00 p.m. in Friends 201, the Sustainability Café topic will be "Northeast Climate Change and the future for our farms, gardens, and natural landscape," presented by David Wolfe, professor of plant ecology with the Department of Horticulture at Cornell University.
Wolfe was part of the climate team working on the Northeast Climate Impacts Assessment (NECIA), a collaboration between the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) and a team of more than fifty independent experts to develop and communicate a new assessment of climate change, impacts on climate-sensitive sectors, and solutions in the northeastern United States. Wolfe will explain the findings and projections from that group’s work and what impacts we may expect to see from climate change in this region.
This café is cosponsored by the Office of Facilities grounds department and the Environmental Seminar.
