The Second CFE Colloquium is "Global Perspectives on HIV/AIDS Prevention: Images and Stories from Namibia," presented by Lis Maurer on Thursday, November 29, 12:10 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Cayuga Lake Room.
This open session is part of the Center for Faculty Excellence series that this year features scholarship with an international focus. Timed to be close to World AIDS Day, the presentation includes reports and film from Lis Maurer's recent study trip to Namibia and suggests comparisons with AIDS/HIV prevention efforts in the U.S.
Lis Maurer is Coordinator of the College's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Education and Outreach Services. The presentation is open to all and you are welcome to bring lunch; coffee and light treats will be provided. The Cayuga Lake Room is the former Conference Room on the ground floor of the Campus Center.
Next semester's series includes four presentations, detailed at the Center for Faculty Excellence.
