We, the African-Latino Society executive board, bid a farewell to our fearless leader and spokesperson, Tyrell T. Lashley '08.

Tyrell Lashley delivered his resignation letter to the ALS executive board November 26, followed by another one sent Tuesday night, November 27, to the campus and the ALS general body. This letter of resignation announced that Tyrell would not be attending Ithaca College next semester. He went on to say that he has accepted a position as assistant aquatics director with the Fairfax County Park Authority in northern Virginia.

Tyrell's resignation is effective December 13, 2007, when internal affairs officer Taylor Desir steps up and takes on the role of ALS spokesperson.

Tyrell T. Lashley has served the African-Latino Society far beyond what was expected. He has been a great leader who has been around to help if we ever needed anything. Our experience together as the ALS board has been nothing short of magical and amazing. We have learned much from each other that would not have been possible without Tyrell's leadership. We, the executive board, could not ask for more from a leader then what Tyrell has given to us.

We would like to thank him for everything he has done for us, and will miss him greatly. We wish Tyrell much luck with everything that he is doing and will continue to do. We have no doubt that he will continue to affect others in the way that he has affected all of us here at Ithaca College.

So we say not good-bye, but "see you soon" to Tyrell, who will be missed by us all. We know that he will have much success in his future and we can not wait to see it.

~God Bless,
The African-Latino Society Executive Board
