December is the season of giving. Don't forget about yourself this month! Give yourself the fabulous gift of music, and attend the sixth annual Holiday Concert on Friday, December 14. Featuring the Ithaca Concert Band, IC voICes, and the Seneca Singers, the concert will be held at 8:00 p.m. in Ford Hall of the Whalen Center, and is free and open to the public. Here's a sampling of what you will hear...

The Ithaca Concert Band, directed by Beth Peterson, will delight the crowd with a variety of music, from Russian Christmas music to the holiday version of "Stars and Stripes Forever." The choral groups, both directed by Susan Avery, will entertain you in between with selections such as "Ose Shalom" and "The Spirit of Christmas" from IC voICes and "Stopping by a Woods on a Snowy Evening" and "Shepherd's Chorus" (<i>Amal and the Night Visitors</i>) from the Seneca Singers. Are you marking your calendars yet? Wait -- there's more!

IC voICes and the Seneca Singers will combine to sing "A Caribbean Carol" near the end of the program, and the Ithaca Concert Band will join the singers later for a rousing rendition of the famous "Hallelujah Chorus"! The grand finale of Sleigh Ride," performed by the band, is always a crowd pleaser.

This concert, in its sixth year as a combined effort, is guaranteed to lift your spirits, make your feet tap, and leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling for the holidays. Please be sure to join us for this wonderful event! It is truly a wonderful gift for yourself, and you deserve it!
