I have the unfortunate duty to inform the Ithaca College community of the sudden passing of one of our former students. Jennifer Morganson, who had transferred to the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, died on January 16, 2008. Funeral services were held earlier this week.
Below is the text of a message distributed to the UMass-Amherst community by dean of students Jo-Anne Vanin. I join with her in asking that the IC community keep Jennifer's family and friends in our prayers.

It is with deep regret that I write of the death of Ms. Jennifer Morganson, class of 2008, after a sudden brain aneurysm. Jennifer attended Ithaca College and transferred here to UMass where she was a senior Honors student majoring in Womens Studies. In keeping with her care and concern for others, Jennifer will continue her giving through organ donations. Our sincere condolences go out to Jennifer's family and friends.
