On Monday, February 4, at 4:00 p.m., you can hear a firsthand report from the Ithaca College observer delegation that attended the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia, in December 2007. Sean Vormwald, from alumni relations, and Warren Schlesinger, from the School of Business, will present, "A Bali Update: IC's Report on the UN Climate Change Conference." This first Sustainability Café of the spring 2008 semester will be held in room 204 in the new School of Business building.
For the past three years, Ithaca College has sent an observer delegation to these international climate change conferences, to witness firsthand global political action to combat global warming. For the first time, Ithaca College was approved to have a display booth at the event, at which the team provided materials about what the IC community is doing to combat climate change.
"Teachable edibles" -- seasonal, organic, and/or local foods -- will be provided. Please bring your reusable mug and fill up at the drinking fountain or provide your beverage of choice.
Drink in a new way to think in the Sustainability Café.
