Alternative Spring Break still has spots open for anyone willing to drive who is at least 21 years old. Applications are available at www.ithaca.edu/csli or by e-mailing [mailto:dnewcom1@ithaca.edu].
What is ASB?
Alternative Spring Break is a volunteer opportunity unlike any other. Ithaca College students, faculty, and staff will travel around the country during their spring break in March to demonstrate their commitment to service. This program has expanded dramatically in the last four years because the experience is so rewarding that people keep coming back, with a brand new group of volunteers joining experienced travelers every year!
What is the cost?
A $75 deposit is required for your application to be processed. Information about the deposit can be found on the last page of the application. Later, you will be asked to pay an additional $200. We recognize that this is a lot of money, but keep in mind that it pays for your travel, housing, food, and site fees for a week.
Trips with open spots:
1. Nature Conservancy Trail Construction (Narrows, Virginia)
2. Sustainable Immersion (Earthaven Ecovillage, North Carolina)
3. The Washington D.C. Experience
(Washington, D.C.)
4. Owsley County Outreach Center (Lucky Fork, Kentucky)
