The Office of Public Safety is instituting a new program to assist with staffing for campus special events.
Recently the Office of Public Safety announced a new opportunity for Ithaca College employees to assist with special events held on campus. At this time we would like to clarify that all non-bargaining-unit employees interested in working special events are eligible to do so during hours they are not regularly scheduled to work and will be compensation for the time worked.
Our employees regularly paid on an hourly basis will be compensated at the rate of $12 per hour. In the event the additional hours worked combined with the regular work schedule total more than 40 in a given week, the individual will be paid at an overtime rate of $18 per hour for the hours worked during the event. Employees regularly paid on a salary basis will receive a flat fee based on the number of hours worked.
The Office of Public Safety will provide training and equipment necessary to work each event.
