Energy Independent Caroline (EIC) is a local group of students and citizens working to declare independence from fossil fuels in Caroline, NY. As part of a grassroots education & outreach campaign, Energy Independent Caroline has been granted $4,500 to distribute one compact-fluorescent light bulb (CFL) to every household in the Town of Caroline – roughly 1,400 households.
Sign up now to help distribute lightbulbs! While participating in the CFL distribution day, you and your group will walk, bike, or drive (depending on the assigned location in Caroline) to distribute free CFLs and additional energy conservation information. You'll have a chance to interact with community members who are excited about this campaign, see the greater Tompkins County area, and complete your first community service project of the Spring.
Distribution day is Saturday April 19th from 11:00am-4:00pm.
To sign up as an individual, pair, or group please email coordinator Dominic Frongillo at energyindependentcaroline@gmail.com by March 29th.
