There are only two weeks left in the Recyclemania 2008 competition, let's continue to improve our performance over last year.

RecycleMania is a friendly competition among over 400 college and
university recycling programs in the United States that provides the
campus community with a fun, proactive activity in waste reduction. Over a
10-week period, campuses compete in different contests to see which
institution can collect the largest amount of recyclables per capita, the
largest amount of total recyclables, the least amount of trash per capita,
or have the highest recycling rate. The main goal of this event is to
increase student awareness of campus recycling and waste minimization.

Ithaca College's results for Week 7 of the RecycleMania competition are in! They are as follows:
Our overall recycling rate = 42.14%, up from 39.73% last year!

Our pounds of recycled material per person = 1.32, down from 1.58 last year.

Our total waste produced per person = 3.14, down from 3.96 last year.

Our total pounds of recycables produced = 10,400, down from 11,020 last year.

Keep up the good work! Recyclemania only runs through April 5th this year; let's finish strong over the next two weeks!
