The deadline for the applications for the Golberstein Jewish Studies Travel-Study Grant is fast approaching. Interested students should submit their applications no later than Friday, April 18.
The grant is intended to aid Ithaca College students to broaden their understanding of the history and survival of the Jewish people though formal study involving travel (either domestic or international). Students are encouraged to travel to places they have never been before, and to communities that have important historic significance to the Jewish people, like Prague, Spain, Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina. To learn more about last year’s grant recipient, Adina Mindick ’08, visit her blog. The study or research abroad must be conducted under the auspices of an accredited academic institution. For more information or to submit a grant application, please go to Golberstein grant or contact Rebecca Lesses, coordinator of the Jewish studies program at rlesses@ithaca.edu.
