Under the artistic direction of Sally Lamb, IC's contemporary chamber ensemble, Kulmusik, will present a free concert at 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, in Ford Hall. The ensemble, which performs music for small groups of musicians written in the recent past, will feature a composition that won its composition competition: "Simplicity," by graduate student Roy Magnuson.
Other works on the program are by Golijov, Lutoslawski, Tower, and Rouse, and include various instrumentations including a brass quintet, mixed ensembles, saxophone duet, and percussion quartet.
